Who You Are

You reside in Western Canada, preferably in Alberta. The Dentalcorp Compliance & IPAC Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance, efficiency, and quality within Dentalcorp practices across Canada. In this role, you will assess regulatory compliance across multiple regulatory bodies, while aligning practices with Dentalcorp standards. This is a supportive role designed to partner with practice teams, providing guidance, education, actionable solutions to help ensure compliance and overall patient safety.

In this role, you will 

  • Conduct on-site and virtual audits of dental practices across Western Canada.

  • Evaluate adherence to provincial regulatory and college requirements and to Dentalcorp standards, including IPAC, sedation, and radiation safety.

  • Identify risks or areas of non‑compliance and provide guidance, education, and clear and actionable recommendations.

  • Provide on‑site support and readiness for Regulatory College or Provincial inspections.

  • Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, root causes, and corrective action plans to improve documentation quality and operational integrity.

  • Monitor and follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely and effective compliance.

  • Assess workflows, scheduling systems, inventory management, and staff productivity to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and improved patient experience.

  • Offer insights that support optimization of daily operations and sustainable practice growth.

  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for clinicians, practice personnel, and support centre teams on regulatory, clinical, and operational matters.

  • Deliver training on compliance protocols, regulatory updates, and audit readiness to practice teams and regional managers.

  • Facilitate in‑person and virtual learning sessions for providers and teams.

What We're Looking For:

  • Resides in Western Canada, preferably, Alberta.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the dental industry (RDH, RDA, Government Agency). 

  • Proven experience in auditing or compliance—preferably in a healthcare or dental setting. 

  • Strong understanding of provincial dental regulations, including Infection Prevention & Control (IPAC), sedation and radiation safety. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. 

  • Confident presenting and educating diverse audiences.

  • Highly organized with strong follow-up and documentation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and maintain professionalism in a dynamic environment.
