Key skills and prior experience

To excel in this role, we are looking for a professional with:

• A very strong background in internal communications, demonstrating dedicated experience in the field.
• Proven leadership capabilities in people management, with a track record of leading and developing direct reports.
• The ability to "hit the ground running," quickly understanding complex business environments and integrating into a fast-paced corporate culture.
• Experience gained within large, complex organisations, ideally from the technology sector or other Big 4/6 professional services firms, will be highly advantageous.
• Experienced leader in end-to-end event management: plan, organise, and execute internal events such as town halls, leadership events, and firm-wide connection events.

Success in the Role

Success will be defined by your ability to:

• Seamlessly integrate into Deloitte's internal communications framework, effectively managing and delivering communications for your dedicated business unit.
• Proactively build and nurture a strong internal network, fostering collaboration and understanding across various functions.
• Demonstrate effective leadership and development of your direct reports, ensuring their growth and the team's overall performance.
• Successfully engage with senior leadership, including direct contributions to communications strategies involving the CEO, and actively contribute to elevating the strategic impact of the internal communications function.

What type of work will I be doing?

• As an Internal Communications Manager, your work will be varied and impactful. You will be responsible for developing and executing internal communication strategies for a specific business unit, ensuring alignment with Deloitte's overall objectives.
• Working closely with senior leadership to craft compelling messages, managing and mentoring direct reports, and actively participating in monthly strategic meetings.
• A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to building relationships and networking within the Dublin office to ensure effective communication flow and understanding. While specific time allocations will vary, you will have considerable autonomy in planning and executing your communication initiatives, guided by strategic objectives.
