POSITION SUMMARY – Responsible for developing press tooling design, techniques, procedures, fixtures and applications to produce high quality parts as cost effectively as possible. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions. 
 
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT — Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.
 

 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Set up spare parts lists to be included in tooling quotations and manuals
  • Review spare parts requirements for servicing in conjunction with engineering department including coding of spare parts
  • Review blueprints for correct spare parts identification prior to issuance
  • Coordinate parts orders and assist in the identification of parts
  • Provide leadership, supervise, coordinate, and review the work of assigned staff
  • Oversee employees in performance of work and provide guidance in the resolution of routine problems
  • Apply organizational policies and ensure adherence to departmental procedures
  • Evaluate and recommend changes in methods and procedures in assigned area of responsibility
  • Interview and recommend candidates for employment
  • Provide performance feedback on team members
  • Act as liaison with other departments, units, or organizations
  • Perform quoting work
  • Perform tool engineering
  • Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to our customers
  • Support the environmental policy with proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, reducing waste, and acting on environment performance results and findings
  SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions 
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables 
 
  
 
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
 
Education: Associate’s Degree in Tool & Die preferred; Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering would be an advantage 
Experience: Five to seven years of Tool & Die Engineer experience; At least two years of experience as a supervisor preferred
Computer Skills:  Must demonstrate computer literacy; Proficient using Microsoft Office; Proficient in Solid Works, AutoCAD, Mastercam, and KeyCreator CAD and CAM software preferred
