Position Title: Service Technician

Reports To: Community Manager

Supervises: None

Position Summary

The Service Technician is responsible for supporting the overall maintenance, cleanliness, and appearance of the apartment community. This hybrid role performs routine maintenance tasks, assists with unit turns, completes resident service requests, and maintains common areas and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Complete basic maintenance and resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Assist with apartment make-readies including cleaning, painting touch-ups, and minor repairs.
  3. Maintain cleanliness of common areas, amenities, and grounds including trash removal.
  4. Perform light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance troubleshooting as directed.
  5. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and report safety hazards or repair needs.
  6. Follow all safety protocols, Fair Housing requirements, and company procedures.

Non-Essential Duties

  • Support community events, special projects, emergency response efforts, and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 pounds.
  3. Basic knowledge of maintenance tools, cleaning supplies, and safety practices.
  4. Strong attention to detail and customer service skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Willingness to work outdoors and flexible hours as needed.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Work is performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. The role requires frequent walking, lifting, bending, stooping, and use of hand and power tools. Exposure to cleaning chemicals and use of PPE may be required.
