ABOUT THE ROLE
DCG ONE creates connections between our clients and their customers with marketing solutions and services that delight and engage. We’re searching for a Data Architect with strong experience in engineering, architecture, and analytics to join our Analytics and Innovation team.
In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain a robust data system within Microsoft Fabric, integrating data from a variety of disparate sources. This system becomes the source of truth for consumable, accurate, timely data for the analytics team, while also enabling cross-functional teams access to actionable insights via PowerBI.
This position is hybrid, with the expectation of working from the Seattle, WA, or Upper Marlboro, MD office three days per week (unless otherwise approved) if located in either area. Remote work may be considered for the right candidate; however, this may vary depending on state employment laws and the ability to support remote work in specific states.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Architect, develops, and implements a scalable data platform within Microsoft Fabric, ensuring seamless integration of data from diverse sources, including, but not limited to, APIs.
Collaborates with analytics to deliver high-quality, reliable datasets that support business intelligence, advanced predictive analytics, and other forward-thinking initiatives.
Works with technology and analytics teams to create best practices documentation, an analytics QA standard, and diagnostic reporting tools.
Ensures data integrity, security, and compliance across all data flows and pipelines.
Designs and maintains ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to efficiently ingest, transform, and store data from multiple sources.
Collaborates across teams to understand data needs, optimize access to insights, and increase data literacy.
Advocates for data governance best practices and supports data democratization efforts across the organization.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum 6+ years of experience in data architecture, information systems, data science, or related field.
Demonstrated expertise in building data systems on Microsoft Fabric or comparable cloud-based platforms.
Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance principles.
Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and dashboard development.
Experience working in cross-functional teams and driving data accessibility initiatives.
Basic understanding of SEO metrics and tools.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of data security, compliance, and privacy standards.
Ability to mentor junior team members and promote best practices.
SQL/Python fluency
Willing and able to learn C++ or other programming languages.
Acquire buy-in and adoption of a data-first approach across the company.
May be required to complete and pass Public Trust Security Clearance.
Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is predominantly held in a clerical environment and may also work or access the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting.
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
