About this role
Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions – whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and monitor daily balance sheet movements
- Prepare presentation material for ALCO meetings
- Participate in regulatory stress testing and prepare NII projections
- Assist in Net Interest Income (NII) analysis, including Loans and Deposits FTP analysis
- Oversee businesses units controllership function including general ledger posting, general ledger account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Consolidate Hong Kong financial data from various stakeholders to prepare consolidated financial reports for both flash, actuals and budgeting processes
- Analyze and provide commentary on the financial performance by business lines and products
- Implement robust financial planning and management reporting frameworks for the DBS HK Franchise, including month-end financial book closings and annual budgeting
- Prepare and present quarter-end financial reports and presentations for board meetings and local senior management meetings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support effective financial decision-making and resource allocation
- Liaise effectively with key business stakeholders regarding business financials
Requirement
- Degree holder with major in Accounting and Finance
- 5-8 years' relevant experience in management reporting work from financial institutions
- Excellent data management skillset and problem-solving, adept at transforming intricate data into practical insights and recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all financial analyses and reporting
- Knowledge of financial software and data visualization tools including but not limited to Hyperion, GL system, Tableau, Qlik Sense
- Good communication and presentation abilities, proficient in effectively communicating complex financial concepts to stakeholders
