POSITION
DBL Law is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney. This position will perform general litigation work primarily in the Healthcare Practice area. The position is based in our Covington, Kentucky office.
JOB DUTIES
- Draft and prepare legal briefs and pleadings.
- Work with clients in the preparation of discovery responses.
- Prepare and argue motions.
- Perform legal research and writing.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Prepare trial materials and assist at pretrial, trial, and post-trial proceedings.
- Multi-task, meet deadlines, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Independently manage cases.
- Handle various aspects of litigation, such as motion hearings, meditations, and depositions.
- Respond to administrative charges.
- Collaborate with partners and other associates to develop and implement case strategy.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- 0 to 4 years of experience practicing civil litigation in state and federal courts.
- Excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Outstanding academic record and civil litigation experience, strongly preferred.
- Must be licensed to practice law in Kentucky.
