Dayton Children’s Hospital, a freestanding, independent, Level I trauma center children’s hospital in Dayton, Ohio, is recruiting for a full-time Pediatric Palliative Care Physician Leader to serve as Division Chief of Pediatric Palliative Care. This is an employed position and includes a very competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package. Position details include:
- Dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with experience in pediatric palliative care
- Consultative inpatient and ambulatory care
- Home Care based program for patients nearing end-of-life
- Dedicated social work support
- Multi-disciplinary support from chaplain services, child life, and psychology
- Supportive and nurturing environment with staff and other subspecialties
Candidate Qualifications
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship,
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine
- Eligible for or able to obtain an unrestricted Ohio medical license
- MD or DO candidates will be considered.
- Demonstrated leadership ability or strong interest in program development and mentorship.
- Excellent communication skills and desire a long-term, stable leadership role

What you'll do
- The Pediatric Palliative Care Division Chief will lead and transform the palliative care program at Dayton Children's Hospital. This includes overseeing consultative inpatient and ambulatory care, as well as home care for patients nearing end-of-life.
