Overview

Wound Care Clinic

40 hours per week

 

Manages patient assignments and flow within clinic. Provides oversight of patient care to support patient and staff needs. Serves as a lead, clinical resource, role model, and extension of management to uphold institutional priorities, policies and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assigns staff to patients per current clinic workload. Considers acuity, staff experience and competency, learning needs and patient acuity/complexity when considering assignments.
  • Participates in performance management of staff members to include coaching, preparation of performance evaluations, and the performance management process. Initiates disciplinary action as appropriate.
  • Addresses conflicts as they may arise. Assists/mediates to maintain smooth operations of the clinic.
  • Performs service recovery to promote patient and employee retention.
  • Facilitate orientation and training for employees.
  • Serves as liaison with other persons/departments/clinics concerning services offered by the office.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
  • Qualifications

    • Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
    • BSN required.
    • 2 years of related supervisory/management experience.
    • Must obtain and maintain clinical competencies as appropriate.
    • Excellent written, verbal and computer skills required.
    • Demonstrated abilities with problem solving, leadership, communication, fiscal responsibility and teamwork.
    • Ability to work effectively in groups of employees and with patients and patient families is essential.

    Required Licensure/Certifications

    • Licensed Registered Nurse with New Hampshire eligibility.
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
