Responsibilities

Dartmouth Health’s Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a skilled and adaptable Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our dynamic anesthesia team, practicing across both academic and community hospital settings. This role is ideal for CRNAs who value a mixed practice, offering both solo case management and participation in an Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) model.

 

All facilities are within a 35-mile radius, providing manageable, congestion-free commutes and an excellent work-life balance.

 

What This Position Offers

  • Provide comprehensive anesthesia care for adult and pediatric patients across academic and community hospitals.
  • Manage a range of anesthesia cases, including solo cases and those performed within an ACT model.
  • Deliver anesthesia services across multiple specialties such as general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, GYN, and more.
  • Oversee perioperative care including preoperative evaluation, intraoperative management, and postoperative follow-up.
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, high-quality care.
  • Contribute to departmental quality improvement, safety, and protocol development initiatives.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and clinical independence in solo or community practice environments.

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Obtain a New Hampshire and Vermont RN and APRN License. 
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from New Hampshire and Vermont Board of Nursing.
  • Degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program. 
  • Experience or interest in both academic and community practice settings, including providing independent anesthesia care
  • Excellent clinical judgment, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and patient-centered care.
