Overview

The position of 14x14 rotational Shelf Mechanic entails operating an offshore production facility according to customer specifications, conducting testing, calibration, maintenance, and inspections of equipment, and completing mandatory paperwork for both customers and governmental agencies. Additionally, responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining various equipment such as turbine compressors, generators, gas/diesel generators, and reciprocating equipment like pumps and compressors. 

Responsibilities

  • Operate offshore production facility in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Test, calibrate, maintain, and inspect equipment.
  • Perform mandatory paperwork required by customer and government agencies.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot turbine compressors, generators, gas/diesel generators, compressors, and reciprocating equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.).
  • H2S protocol knowledge.
  • Utilize computer knowledge for maintenance tasks.
  • Familiarity with subsea equipment.
  • Maintain platform organization.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal communication skills in a team environment.
  • Safety-oriented with a focus on compliance.
  • Create policies and procedures for maintenance, testing, and inspections of offshore lifeboats.
  • Apply technical mechanical skills for maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

  • Transportation costs covered by customer to and from California crew change location if candidate lives out of state. 14x14 rotation schedule.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Real ID driver’s license or current passport required
  • 8+ years of offshore mechanical experience on a production platform
  • Boat transfer and swing rope experience preferred
  • Previous H2S field experience preferred
  • Computer knowledge 
  • Organization skills to maintain platform 
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills in a team environment
  • Creating policies and procedures for maintenance, testing, and inspections of offshore lifeboats
  • Needs to have technical mechanical skills and be able to create policies and procedures
  • Candidate will not be required to complete technical writing tasks 

Compensation Range

Salary: USD $45.00/Hr. - USD $45.00/Hr.
