The second shift Manual Machinist III is responsible for performing various types of manual grinding on products and partners with the Production Supervisor to ensure the machine shop meets daily production and quality goals.

This position is part of the Pall Aerospace Machine Shop and will be located onsite in New Port Richey, FL. The work schedule is 2nd shift Monday through Friday, 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, and overtime is frequent. This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

· Inspect work using precision measuring instruments (hand gauges, micrometers, calipers, height gauge, functional gauges, optical comparator aka shadow graph), work with complex castings and forgings as well as machine parts from bar stock and work to close tolerances and inspect all work.

· Work with various types of inspection equipment to ensure quality, troubleshoot and diagnose machine process issues, participate in Kaizen events and select proper methods and tools for deburring with or without assistance, check work against the blueprint with or without assistance, scrap parts according to standard operating procedures, and maintain all records required by the Company and

Selects proper holding devices, chucks, collets, face-plates, vices, sine plates, etc., indicate machine axis, fixtures, tooling, and components as required to meet given tolerances, set-up and operate manual lathes and mills, builds tools and fixtures.

· Works with Engineers to develop processes, builds prototype units working with Engineering, understand and use all measuring equipment, complete all necessary paperwork as required including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers and data.

The essential requirements of the job include:

· High School diploma or GED and at least 6 years of debur experience or completion of a trade school apprenticeship program and 5-6 years of CNC set-up experience.

· Good working knowledge of shop math, capable of reading machine drawings (i.e. blueprints), possesses functional knowledge of general dimensioning and tolerancing, understand, follow and effectively communicate verbal and written instructions.

· FAA certification may be required and the Ability to work overtime as required.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

· Frequent bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods; frequent lifting up to 20 lbs. from floor to bench; occasional lifting to 35 lbs. Good eye and hand dexterity.

Manual machine experience.
