Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with program planning, coordination, and implementation for community outreach events or services.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, scheduling, and preparing correspondence.
- Support client services, which may include answering phones, directing inquiries, or assisting with intake processes.
- Help with volunteer recruitment, training, and coordination.
- Conduct research or gather information pertinent to the organization's mission.
- Assist with marketing and communication efforts, including social media updates or newsletter creation.
- Participate in community events, workshops, or service projects as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to organizational policies.
- Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be an undergraduate student awarded Federal Work-Study funds through FAFSA.
- Must meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress standards set by Dallas College.
- Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours (half-time) during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen..
- No outstanding institutional balances or registration blocks.
- Must have reliable transportation to off-campus worksites (if applicable).
- Completion of required Dallas College professional development training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be an enrolled student eligible for Federal Work-Study funding.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Demonstrated interest in community service and the mission of the host organization.
- Ability to adapt to various tasks and learn new skills quickly.

- Students will develop practical skills in non-profit management, community engagement, and public service. They will gain exposure to diverse populations and social issues, enhancing their civic responsibility and professional networking.
Work Schedule:
- Part-time, flexible hours (typically up to 19.5 hours per week), determined in coordination with the site supervisor and student's academic schedule.
