As a Graduate Land Surveyor you will:

  • Travel to a variety of sites across the country to undertake surveys, collect data and set out works on behalf of DM and their clients, using GNSS, Robotic Total Station, Laser Scanning, Drone/UAV, Electromagnetic Location and Ground Penetrating Radar equipment
  • Process survey data proactively and accurately, following departmental best practice.
  • Produce high‑quality maps, plans and deliverables to support a wide range of fast‑moving projects, ensuring outputs are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Working in collaboration with colleagues to obtain, manage and analyse data from sources including the Land Registry, Ordnance Survey, Environment Agency, Local Authorities and Utility companies to best inform our advice and service to clients
  • Take responsibility for the maintenance, care and calibration of survey equipment in line with company procedures.
  • Work under guidance, on projects and requests, ensuring requirements and objectives are met, building positive relationships and taking ownership of the standard of work
  • Be commercially aware, maintain good records, including meeting notes, expense claims and comprehensive file updates and records of activities to provide regular client updates

The successful candidate will:

  • Great IT skills with good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word packages
  • Ability to manage and interpret large volumes of both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Confidence meeting people on-site, including colleagues, clients, landowners and other stakeholders.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Have a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site and project locations 
  • A positive, proactive, team‑focused attitude with a desire to learn and develop.

The successful candidate will begin employment in September 2026.
