It’s an exciting time to join Dalcour Maclaren. We sit at the heart of the UK’s infrastructure and Utilities sectors, working on major schemes that will have a meaningful and positive impact on communities, the environment and society across the UK and Ireland.

Dominating headlines and driving conversations, the need for effective and meaningful stakeholder engagement and communications has never been greater – and that’s where you come in.

We’re growing our Stakeholder Engagement Team based in the Southwest and looking for talented individuals at the start of their career – whether you’re a recent graduate or already working in public relations and communications and ready to take the next step.

If you’re passionate about people, communication, and shaping how major infrastructure projects connect with communities, this is your opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to nationally significant work.

  • Collaborating as ‘OneTeam’: work closely with clients and colleagues across land, planning, and environmental teams to ensure joined-up delivery.

  • Staying ahead: monitor policy, industry developments, and stakeholder sentiment to keep projects relevant and responsive.

What’s in it for you:

  • Learn from experienced consultants and work on nationally significant projects.

  • Develop a broad range of engagement, consultation, and communication skills.

  • Collaborate across disciplines and build your professional network.

  • Be part of a supportive, high-performing team that values curiosity and initiative and shared success.

  • Grow your career in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment with real impact.

What will give you the edge

  • A proactive, curious mindset and genuine interest in communications, infrastructure, and the built environment.

  • A degree in a relevant subject (e.g. humanities, geography, politics, communications, public relations, planning, marketing) or equivalent experience.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.

  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and confidence in managing multiple priorities.

  • Ability to quickly assimilate information and recommend practical responses.

  • Emotional intelligence and the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.

  • An interest in UK politics and understanding of political structures (national, devolved, and local).

  • Confidence to contribute ideas, take ownership of tasks, and engage in networking.

  • Awareness of emerging communications technologies and willingness to learn and adapt.

Location: Southwest region (Cirencester, Tewkesbury, or Bristol office).
