About this role

Perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on all mechanical systems at the plant including utility systems, process systems, and waste handling systems.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete SAP reporting
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and repair plant systems according to DFA procedures
  • Perform required preventative maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, and filter changes according to DFA maintenance procedures at the wastewater facilities
  • Daily operation of Wastewater Plant.
  • Maintaining daily sampling routine.
  • Performing COD, TSS, Total Solids, DO, and other analysis on daily samples.
  • Performing root cause analysis of operational and mechanical issues.
  • Interpreting daily results for operational trends.
  • Making informed adjustments based on Daily data collection.
  • Monitoring microbial condition of sludge and various stages of process.
  • Monitoring effluent samples for excessive losses.
  • Testing effluent samples to provide plant management with loss results.
  • Providing feedback to plant management in report form on daily effluent characteristics.
  • Organizing and overseeing spill clean-ups.
  • Monitoring and reporting spills to proper personnel.
  • Participate in plant projects and expansions
  • Follow safety, GMP, HACCP, and all other plant policies and procedures
  • Attend scheduled training sessions
  • Provide communication to all support team members by following proper escalation procedures
  • Back fill team member absences with overtime as required
  • Demonstrate success in tool ownership in a 24 x 7 manufacturing environment
  • Work within budget, while completing timely repairs
  • Perform root cause analysis
  • Maintain repairs within departmental budget

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Verifiable maintenance experience, residential wiring, concrete/tile work
  • 3-5 years of mechanical experience and maintenance
  •  

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of general mechanical
  • Strong computer skills
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
