About this role

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gain hands-on exposure to dairy and fluid milk processing operations and maintenance activities.
  • Contribute to engineering projects, including equipment upgrades, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Monitor and track preventive maintenance tasks to ensure accurate scheduling, data integrity, timely completion, and adherence to preventive maintenance plans.
  • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Site utilizes MP2 PM program to manage work orders and identify opportunities.
  • Enhance the site’s LOTO program utilizing Brady 360 software.
  • Update plant layout, electrical, and mechanical drawings to reflect equipment changes, utility modifications, and process improvements; manage revision control and documentation in accordance with site standards.
  • Track and report progress on plant compliance and regulatory requirements, ensuring accurate scheduling and timely completion of tasks related to IIAR ammonia safety standards, Department of Environmental Protection requirements, and other applicable regulations.
  • Participate in safety and compliance audits and assist in implementing corrective actions to maintain regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
  • Assist with daily facility operations on off shifts- provide back up when needed.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing or holding a degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul), manufacturing, or related work experience
  • Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with compliance software, industrial automation, CMMS, and CAD tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Skill in organization and prioritization
  • Able to coordinate a high-level of activity
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Able to follow directions and meet deadlines
  • Able to perform task and duties without constant supervision
  • Able to understand the basic types of controls used in the plant and how they affect the process
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
