About this role

Primary Duties / Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist Western Area farmer-owner dairy preparation for FARM program evaluation
    • Animal Welfare – Environmental Stewardship – Workforce Development
  • Schedule farm visits to review FARM program materials and develop a current FARM binder
  • Assist reorganization of current FARM binder with recent required materials
  • Outreach to Western Area members on dairy biosecurity program review for implementation
  • Communicate with Hispanic workers on FARM program and biosecurity program importance
  • Assist field staff with membership tasks
  • Assist with membership / industry meetings as requested

 

*Candidate should be able to communicate effectively in Spanish.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:  Sophomore/Junior/Senior

 

Desired Degree Focus:  Dairy Science / Animal science

 

Dates of Internship (standard is mid/late- May through early/mid-August)
