Inside the Role

Responsible for enterprise-level technical governance, architecture oversight, and optimization of Workforce Management (WFM) systems and processes supporting payroll and timekeeping. The Timekeeping Systems Analyst leads the administration, configuration, and optimization of the HR Information System for Timekeeping, WFM. standardization, harmonization, and scalability of timekeeping system configurations across DDC, PTMP, PDCs, Reman, CORP, Gastonia, Mt. Holly, FCCC, Cleveland, and TBB.

This role operates as the functional and technical owner of the timekeeping systems, combining advanced expertise in Workday HCM and UKG WFM integrations with strong governance, compliance, and automation. The Specialist drives system efficiency, data integrity, and audit readiness while enabling automation and continuous improvement at scale. The role partners closely with HR, Payroll, HR Digitalization, IT, Finance, and Operations to influence system design decisions, integration strategy, reporting architecture, and attendance governance across the enterprise

Position offers a starting salary range of $78,000 - $100,000 USD  

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA 

  • Serve as the WFM technical lead and system owner for timekeeping platforms, accountable for standardized configuration, governance, controls, and compliance across all sites; define and enforce system standards, pay rule frameworks, and attendance governance models.
  • Provide timely technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance for WFM to HR team leads and other end-users while ensuring an outstanding customer service experience. Ensure data integrity and accuracy within WFM and Workday system.
  • Lead system optimization, automation, and complex integrations across Workday HCM, UKG WFM, and downstream payroll systems; partner with Payroll, HR Digitalization, IT, and Operations to design, test, and deploy
  • enhancements, ensuring scalability, performance, and long-term system sustainability.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for timekeeping system architecture, pay rules, accruals, attendance governance, and payroll interfaces; provide escalation support for highly complex integration, and data integrity issues, including root-cause analysis and resolution. Leverage business knowledge to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Own audit, validation, and reconciliation processes for timekeeping data and system outputs; ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and SOX readiness through proactive controls, exception monitoring, and governance of reporting and data flows.
  • Lead technical projects and system enhancements, including business and technical requirements definition, and development of comprehensive system and process documentation to support knowledge transfer and operational continuity. Monitors WFM best practices and benchmarks outside of DTNA for solutions to current issues and opportunities to optimize configuration, including on-line discussions, training, webinars, etc.

Knowledge You Should Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Information Systems, or Finance preferred; Associate degree with two additional years of relevant experience acceptable.
  • 5 years of overall work experience.
  • Strong experience with UKG (Kronos) WFM and Workday Time Tracking/Payroll systems.
  • Technical knowledge of UKG configuration (pay rules, schedules, accruals, labor levels, device integrations) and Workday time-to-payroll processing.
  • Experience supporting unionized environments, including translating contract language into system logic.
  • Experience with system controls, audits, SOX compliance, and payroll interface reconciliation.
  • Ability to translate business and labor requirements into UKG and Workday systems and processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across timekeeping systems, WFM rules, and Workday payroll interfaces.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional system initiatives and influence without authority.
  • Advanced analytical skills for time data validation, exception monitoring, and identifying automation opportunities.
  • High proficiency in enterprise timekeeping governance, reporting, and compliance management.
