Inside the Role

The Credit Risk Controlling Analyst is responsible for delivering accurate and timely reporting on credit risk performance for DTFS U.S. and Canada. This includes month-end reporting, analysis of actual results, and contributing to the development of financial forecasts. The role involves identifying and resolving issues related to credit risk reserving, loss metrics, and delinquency reporting.
This position collaborates closely with teams across Fleet Workout, Collections, Remarketing, and Financial Reporting. The analyst will also participate in special projects and investigations that support overall DTFS performance. Compliance with ICS requirements is expected as relevant to assigned responsibilities.

What You Drive

  • Responsible for reporting credit risk KPIs, loss forecasting and provisioning

  • Month-end reporting including preparing monthly journal entries, updating spreadsheets, commentary

  • Support TM1/ MIF Template/Corporate Customer Report submissions

  • Participate in monthly Fleet SAC, Dealer SAC and Portfolio Performance Review meetings

  • Provide special reporting for troubled Fleet customers

  • Prepare monthly forecast and quarterly forecasts

  • Prepare annual credit risk forecast

  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis of current loss and portfolio trends

  • Support special projects; credit loss mitigation, IFRS9 policies, CMS system testing

  • Support External Auditors, Financial Reporting and ICS requirements

  • Monthly results presentation slides

  • Maintenance of Credit Risk Tableau dashboard

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • BS/BA in Business, Finance, or Accounting and prefer 5-7 years of relevant experience or 8  years of relevant experience in lieu of degree 

  • Analytical skills: Ability to investigate discrepancies or issues in financial/credit data; strong analytical skills to identify trends, anomalies and drivers of risk

  • PC/Software skills: Microsoft Suite of products, proficient in working with data analysis, reporting and visualization tools

  • Attention to detail, customer focus, planning and organizing, problem solving and analysis, teamwork and collaboration

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Understanding of credit risk KPIs (delinquencies, losses, recoveries, provisioning)

  • Knowledge of loss forecasting methodologies and credit risk provisioning (including IFRS 9 concepts)

  • Familiarity with portfolio performance metrics for fleet, dealer, and retail portfolios

  • SAP/SAS Software/advanced analytics experience

  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data manipulation)

  • Ability to summarize complex credit risk data in presentations and commentary
