Job title of the line manager: Quality Group Leader or Quality Manager Job title of the functional manager (if any): Responsibilities: To check and certify that the components within their scope of responsibility (composite materials or metals) are fully compliant with their actual definitions using nondestructive testing processes (ultrasound, magnetic particle inspection, X-ray, sweating, etc.) and/or special manual and (semi) automated measurement and inspection resources (measurements, readings, indicators, etc.).

Scope of activities

Perform some or all of the following activities:

Assist and/or supervise (mentored) trainees and level 1 staff, in-house Develop work instructions based on approved general operating procedures. These work instructions strictly require the final approval by someone with Level 3 certification in the method Based on work instructions, lead and perform quality inspection operations relating to his/her scope, in order to certify compliant, non-compliant or doubtful products: Check the conformity of the metal or composite material without destroying it Carry out the necessary checks (dimensions, appearance, texture) using tools and measuring instruments Isolate non-compliant products or products awaiting a decision and participate in their processing Follow the required procedure Complete and record tracking and tracing documents Identify any anomalies and analyze them Draft and complete the written instructions (technical sheet, etc.) Carry out problem-solving work and be proactive in improving processes Activities need to be adapted for employees on work-study placements (professionalization contracts, apprenticeship contracts, etc.) to be in line with their training.
