Position Summary

The Program Manager / Scrum Master will be responsible for operating an agile based SDLC for a project or application/domain team consisting of development and business resources in an implementation of large, complex technology and business-oriented projects. They will also be responsible for the coaching/mentoring of existing development & business managers/leads on this methodology as it is implemented and used during the project development life cycle.

What you will do:

  • Maintain process documentation.
  • Ensure the development and business teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.
  • Update agile tracking systems to provide transparency on Product & Sprint Backlogs
  • Recommend improvements and assist in changes to best practice.  Support the development managers and project leads as necessary.
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
  • Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection, task definition, identifying and removing impediments, prevent distractions that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint goal, facilitate discussion, and conflict resolution.
  • Empower the teams to self-organize and improve the productivity of the teams in any way possible.
  • Ensure the team strives to make each increment of functionality potentially shippable.
  • Participate in the organization and planning of the development schedule based on methodology that has been developed to create a cohesive plan with an identifiable critical path, task dependencies, and major milestones, and manages the agreed project plans and schedules, ensuring successful completion within scope, budget, time, and quality parameters.
  • Adapting project plans, schedules, and resource assignments as required throughout project to respond to emerging requirements and risks.

This team operates primarily based on the Eastern Time Zone.

Required Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years of work experience
  • 2-5 years of experience as RTE/program manager, Scrum Master, Product Owner or Agile Project/Program Manager
  • Adept at problem solving and decision making skills
  • Adept at collaboration and teamwork
  • Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
  • Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
  • Adept at business intelligence


Preferred Qualifications

  • Scrum Master Certification
  • Project Management Certification
  • Program Management experience in Healthcare industry
  • Advanced understanding of software development
  • Scrum Master experience with teams working on complex large-scale applications
  • Experience with Agile collaboration tools such as CA Rally, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, etc.
  • Understanding of resource allocations, forecasting, and budgeting


Education

Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$106,605.00 - $213,210.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
