Location:  Kansas City,  MO  


Summary:

Custom Truck One Source has openings for a highly qualified and motivates Crane Technician. This position will primarily focus on the testing and inspection of new truck mounted construction cranes, buckets, and diggers.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


  • always Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform annual crane, bucket and digger inspections and certifications.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in the repair of truck mounted crane products, buckets and diggers.  
  • Should be Familiar with hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems on crane
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license. CDL preferred
  • National/Manitowoc/Terex/Altec/Grove experience and training a plus
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred
  • Must have own hand tools
  • Must be able to work overtime and some Saturdays
  • Attention to detail and must possess a strong work ethic
  • Experience reading and interpreting parts lists, manufactures repair 
  • Manuals, diagrams and electrical schematics
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Must be able to read and understand crane load charts

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:


  • Ability to use carts, forklifts, hand truck, pallet, jack and equipment of such nature
  • Frequent lifting of 60-100 pounds
  • Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day
  • Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes.
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
