Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for commercial management and quantity surveying.
Commercial Management:
- Oversee the preparation and management of project budgets and financial forecasts.
- Ensure accurate cost control and financial reporting for all projects.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks across projects.
Contract Management:
- Oversee the preparation of contracts with final review and sign-off.
- Propose contracts to clients that meet their needs and mitigate their requirements.
- Understanding of local market and standard forms of contract used within the market, as well as internal forms for international clients/projects.
Quantity Surveying:
- Lead the quantity surveying team in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
- Ensure accurate measurement and valuation of construction work.
- Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs.
- Provide expert advice on contractual matters and dispute resolution.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Present reports and updates to senior management and clients.
Team Development:
- Mentor and develop commercial management and quantity surveying teams.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Ensure the team is up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all commercial and quantity surveying activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying / Real Estate with 10 years of experience in managing medium to large projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
