Senior Quality Control Inspector
As a Senior Quality Control Inspector, you will perform a variety of inspections checks and tests for manufactured and purchased products. Documents results in appropriate format. Updates Oracle business system as required.
Location: Middleburg Heights, OH (greater Cleveland area)
Salary/Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $30.00

Your Challenge:
Perform documented inspections by using a variety of inspection measuring and test equipment to determine acceptance or rejection of material or parts.
Perform First article, Receiving, In-process and Final inspections of material or parts; determine acceptance or rejection (MRB) after inspection and/or testing of materials, parts and/or equipment. This includes Commercial, Safety Related, Military, and ASME Code Product.
Interpret and work within the guideline of drawings, specifications, charts, procedures and other data to determine acceptance or rejection of materials or parts.
Adapt or develop inspection set-ups or techniques to check product.
Adapt inspection equipment to check standard, non-standard and special products.
Assist in the review and disposition of non-conforming material and customer returned material or parts, including rework, scrap and return to supplier.
Maintain accurate and current inspection and/or testing records including Inspection/Test Results and Reports, Traceability Logs, Rejection Reports/Tags, as required by the applicable procedure and/or specification.
Interface with and assist customer/government source inspectors and auditors, as necessary.
Coordinate and inform other departments of inspection and/or testing status in support of production and shipping goals.
Perform calibration on inspection/test equipment used to support product acceptance such as, but not limited to variable and attribute gaging, measuring tools, pressure gages and shop floor test stands.
Promote and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
May also perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Prioritizes work so as to meet customer required ship dates. Considers outside processing time in prioritization process
Hours will be flexed based on Business needs (i.e. based on customer promise dates and shipping status).
Your Expertise:
High school diploma or GED
5+ years of hands-on industrial and metrology inspection experience.
Vocational skills a plus
Knowledge and experience within the field of Quality (ISO, Gage Calibration, Metrology, GD&T)
Ability to use inspection equipment; such as: Surface Plate, Height Gage, Comparator, Hand tools, Attribute gages, etc.
Ability to perform detailed review of documentation/certification to requirements
Ability to apply visual inspection techniques
Gage calibration knowledge and techniques
Basic and intermediate shop math
Ability to read and interpret blue prints
GD&T knowledge, use and application
Ability to set up and use a CMM for dimensional detail part inspection; analyze and interpret reports
Software/Computer (i.e. Microsoft applications, Outlook).
Interpersonal skills and ability to work in and promote a team environment.
