About this role

Material Prep - Plating

We are looking for a Material Prep to join our Shelby team!

As our Material Prep you will set up, operate, and maintain set-ups of grit blast and plating equipment. Cleans, masks, plates, demasks, and identifies parts in accordance with all quality and manufacturing procedures.

This role will be on 2nd shift - 2pm to 10pm

Location: Shelby, NC

Hourly: $21.01 to $30.33

Your Challenge

  • Set-up, operate, and maintain set-up equipment used in the production of the company's product in order to carry out the manufacturing processes an acceptable level of quality with general supervision.
  • Under general supervision, responsible for proper handling of Hazardous Waste and keeping work area clean and free of safety hazards.
  • Masks, demasks, and cleans parts manually.
  • Plates a variety of parts to blueprint using manual methods and completes all associated paperwork.
  • Assists in troubleshooting plating problems

What You Bring

  • Must be a US citizen
  • 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • High school or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Comfortable with air tools
