Material Prep - Plating
We are looking for a Material Prep to join our Shelby team!
As our Material Prep you will set up, operate, and maintain set-ups of grit blast and plating equipment. Cleans, masks, plates, demasks, and identifies parts in accordance with all quality and manufacturing procedures.
This role will be on 2nd shift - 2pm to 10pm
Location: Shelby, NC
Hourly: $21.01 to $30.33

Your Challenge
- Set-up, operate, and maintain set-up equipment used in the production of the company's product in order to carry out the manufacturing processes an acceptable level of quality with general supervision.
- Under general supervision, responsible for proper handling of Hazardous Waste and keeping work area clean and free of safety hazards.
- Masks, demasks, and cleans parts manually.
- Plates a variety of parts to blueprint using manual methods and completes all associated paperwork.
- Assists in troubleshooting plating problems
What You Bring
- Must be a US citizen
- 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- High school or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Comfortable with air tools

- The Material Prep staff member will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining grit blast and plating equipment to manufacture products at an acceptable quality level. This role also involves cleaning, masking, plating, demasking parts, identifying them, and assisting in troubleshooting plating issues.
