About this role
Job Overview:
As a Legal Associate, you will assist with general legal tasks, focusing on contract management, compliance monitoring, and regulatory research. This role provides support to senior legal staff on disputes and contract drafting and contributes to the management of intellectual property and compliance with corporate governance requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in the drafting and negotiation of contracts, focusing on compliance with local and international laws.
Provide legal research on regulatory changes related to data privacy, intellectual property, and corporate law.
Support pre-litigation dispute management, helping to prepare documentation and liaising with external counsel.
Assist in the protection and enforcement of the company’s intellectual property rights.
Contribute to the development of corporate governance policies and ensure compliance across departments.
Conduct basic legal risk assessments and present findings to senior legal staff for decision-making.
Foster communication with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and business partners.
Assist in managing the company’s intellectual property portfolio, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
Qualifications:
L.L.B. / L.L.M with 2+ years of transaction/corporate experience (1 year of litigation experience with a law firm is preferred).
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Track record of drafting, reviewing, and revising agreements coupled with outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Competent in legal research.
Ability to work during U.S shift (5:30 PM till 2:30 AM).
