Summary

The Customer Service Representative serves as a key point of contact for patients, helping answer billing and insurance questions, process payments, and ensure accurate account information. This role plays an important part in delivering a positive patient experience through clear communication, attention to detail, and compassionate support.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable first point of contact for patients, handling inbound and outbound calls to answer questions about balances, coverage, and billing

  • Update and maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information in our systems

  • Document call details clearly to ensure seamless follow-up and continuity of care

  • Verify insurance information and support claims submission

  • Process patient payments over the phone with accuracy and care

  • Educate patients on deductibles, co-pays, and other financial responsibilities in a clear, compassionate way

  • Deliver every interaction with professionalism, patience, and empathy

  • Support additional tasks as needed to help the team and organization succeed

  • Other duties as assigend

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

  • High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality

  • Patient-focused, professional, and courteous approach

  • Other duties as assigned
