Assist director with daily management of specified unit to include interview and hiring process, disciplinary process, monthly operational reports and PMPs. Assume direct responsibility for employee orientation and staff development.
Manage unit in absence of director.
Integrate clinical concepts and knowledge relevant to leadership and teaching to affect improvements in unit-based nursing orientation and retention in the nursing units.
Plan, organize, coordinate and evaluate the unit-based clinical orientation of novice to expert nurses to assure quality outcomes.
Plan, coordinate and evaluate and serve as mentor to nurses in nursing units, assuring ongoing support and improve patient safety and quality.
Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
QualificationsEducation:
BSN required. MSN/CNS preferred.
Experience:
3 years of clinical experience in an emergency room setting with direct patient care.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
ACLS, PALS instructor level of each required with 1 year of employment. TNCC instructor desired.
