We are looking for a Cleaner to join our team at Carlisle on a Full Time and Permanent Position. 

Job Description

Shift: Monday-Friday 14:00pm-22:00pm.

Salary: £23,809.50 per annum.

Health and Safety/Food Safety:

  • Undertake housekeeping duties to the standards and guidelines set down by the Company to ensure customers, staff and other visitors enjoy a safe visit and healthy working environment
  • Be alert to potential hazards and incidents and react accordingly
  • Be fully aware of all Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations displayed at the site and fully trained in all associated matters e.g. Accident and Emergency procedures
  • Check all safety equipment used and report, in line with Company Procedures, if any is damage or requires replacement. Report any persons causing damage to company safety equipment
  • Check fire equipment daily ensuring that it is ready for use and report/correct any defects
  • Ensure that protective clothing is worn when necessary
  • Ensure that instructions/directions for use with regard to cleaning fluids/equipment are read and understood before use.

Sales:

  • Maximise sales by ensuring that the site is cleaned to a high standard and maintained as such at all times

Cleaning:

  • Responsible for ensuring that all areas of the site buildings and exterior areas are kept in a clean tidy and safe manner
  • Ensure work surfaces, till areas, floors, doors and windows are kept free of debris and rubbish
  • Ensure bed linen is always changed after each visit ( sites with motels only )
  • Ensure bed linen, and other laundry is cleaned to high standard
  • Ensure any danger to customers and staff e.g. spillage’s, are cleared immediately

Maintenance:

  • Responsible for the routine maintenance of equipment used by themselves and correcting minor defects. (e.g. cleaning filters in hoovers )
  • Report faulty equipment or repairs needed to line management

Customers:

  • Ensure that complete Company uniform is worn at all times whilst on duty and that the Company dress code is fully adhered to
  • Be friendly and helpful to customers and staff
  • Be aware of customer complaint policy and treat all such matters in a calm and polite manner
  • Provide assistance to customers with use of equipment or other requests made that come within legislation and Company guidelines
  • Hand in and inform line Management of any customer belongings found

Other Duties:

  • Attend site/communications meetings as and when requested
  • Attend courses as required
  • Attend annual appraisal and quarterly reviews as required
  • Complete all reasonable additional duties as requested by Supervisor/Management

Qualifications

  • Basic Health and safety - Essential. 
  • Fire Training - Essential. 
  • COSHH Training - Essential.
  • Level 2 food safety training - Desirable.
