Job Summary: The Field Services Technician 2 performs testing, repair, and maintenance of electronic equipment at field sites. This role involves operating and maintaining both digital and analog devices, troubleshooting to the board level, and supporting senior technicians. The position typically works under close supervision and guidance.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assist senior field technicians with equipment setup, installation, and servicing at field locations.
Support campaigns and equipment installations.
Recommend improvements to circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
Professionally interface with customer agencies and maintain strong client relationships.
Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions using hand tools, test equipment, schematics, and manuals to rework, repair and maintain equipment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in compliance with contractual obligations.
Collaborate with other technicians to resolve complex hardware issues.
Perform general maintenance, technical and semi-technical tasks not limited to electronics.
Interpret schematics, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance and repair. Associate degree in Electronics or related technical field, or equivalent technical school training is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
Ability to follow verbal instructions to service and maintain equipment
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in interpreting technical documentation.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in challenging environments (e.g., crowded public stations, extreme temperatures, noisy areas, extended standing, and stair climbing).
Flexibility to work on-call, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Cubic Pay Range:
$21.00 - $29.00 + benefits.
The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
