About this role

Job Summary
Manages Chemicals Sales with an account portfolio of over approximately $240 million, with business that spans the CSX network in the East Coast from New Jersey to Florida.    

Primary Activities and Responsibilities

  • Design, market, sell and manage CSX Transportation (CSXT) services to several strategic Chemicals accounts.
  • Negotiate and close large, complex commercial proposals in conjunction with all relevant CSX groups including Marketing, Service Design, Operations, Customer Service, Industrial Development, etc.
  • Create and execute strategic account plans for customers.
  • Lead and strengthen business relationships within CSXT and customer organizations while pushing each for improved performance or increased business levels.
  • Lead and develop improved service plans with customer and appropriate CSX groups, including Service Design, Operations, and Customer Service.
  • Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
  • 5 or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or Finance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate Degree
  • 7 or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or Finance

This role offers an annual salary range based on experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary we provide an annual bonus opportunity.
