CSG is expanding its teams in Brazil. These teams are responsible for delivering new features for CSG’s cloud based digital BSS Ascendon Platform. One exciting opportunity is for a Test Engineer with product testing experience to join our growing teams.

Our customers include some of the world’s leading firms in the entertainment, sports, cable & satellite, and telecommunications space.  We are looking for an experienced, eager and results orientated Test Engineer to help support and grow CSG Ascendon’s DevOps initiatives. You will focus on testing internally developed tools, functionality, and processes. You will be responsible for test case creation, test case execution, test case automation development and delivery.  

We are looking for Test Engineer who will:

You will report to the Manager of Software Development and drive the development and execution of automated and manual tests for a wide range of APIs utilizing multiple technologies and platforms. In this role you will translate complex test scenarios into effective, intuitive, and repeatable automated tests. 

• You will understand the requirements to develop and maintain the automated tests using an existing automation framework 

• You will create and execute manual tests, accurately document test results, diagnose and create defects 

• You will identify data needed for both manual and automated tests and create new data or obtain existing data to meet requirements of the test 

• You will perform functional, application, regression, integration, and performance testing.  

• You will develop a deep understanding of our application which will allow you to understand our complex feature requirements and identify gaps and edge cases.  

• You will work as part of a scrum team in an agile environment, collaborating with developers, testers, product owners and cross-functional teams to continuously enhance the testing of our applications 

• You will be involved with releasing software and will collaborate with teams to ensure smooth deployments 

• You will assist in identifying root cause of issues, analyzing logs, and resolving defects 

• You will champion our testing best practices and identify ways to improve how and what we test 

Is this opportunity right for you? We’re looking for candidates who:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, technically related field, or equivalent professional experience 

• 2-4 years’ work experience in a testing role with experience creating manual and automated tests 

• Working knowledge of continuous integration, automated tools, industry standards, and best practices in test automation 

• The ability to think analytically, solve problems, make decisions, and collaborate with a team in a fast-paced environment 

• Experience testing web-based applications and API testing 

• Experience with Bruno, Postman or SoapUI 

• Good organizational skills and the ability to adapt and handle multiple activities with changing priorities simultaneously 

• Ability to learn unfamiliar systems and processes quickly 

• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD processes 

• Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in software development a plus

• Ability to support on-call rotation 

• Proficiency in English in a business environment is a must
