This leadership role reports to the Production Manager and is critical in ensuring smooth, high-volume production in a clean, fast-paced environment. Crown Linen operates 365 days a year, so a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is required. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support the Production Manager in overseeing laundry operations across all departments (receiving, sorting, washing, folding, and distribution) Support team leads and resolves workflow or personnel issues promptly Ensure compliance with housekeeping, quality control, safety, and sanitation standards Monitor and report on labor, productivity (PPOH), and cost metrics Assist in preparing reports: daily KPIs, labor reports, operating logs, and customer feedback Coordinate with Engineering to maintain and troubleshoot production equipment Train, coach, and support staff on production methods and safety procedures Participate in hiring, training, reviews, and disciplinary processes Support emergency responses and customer issues as needed Promote employee engagement, retention, and team development Assist in maintaining OSHA compliance and regulatory training Maintain expected PPOH (e.g., 130+) Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement process improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma tools Build a high-performing, safety-conscious, and accountable team environment This position description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications associated with the job.  An individual must be able to perform all the duties and responsibilities listed in a fully competent manner to be considered successful in the position.
