About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Credit Officer – Team Leader to join our team. In this role, you will support the National Shared Services Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Debtors team. You will ensure timely recovery of outstanding debts in line with Crown’s credit policy while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the Debtors team to achieve collection targets and KPIs.
  • Contact customers regarding outstanding debts and maintain accurate records in AS400.
  • Identify delinquent accounts and escalate to Debt Collection Agencies as required.
  • Collaborate with branches to ensure accurate invoicing and timely resolution of disputes.
  • Assist with processing journals, refunds, and bad debt write-offs in line with company policy.
  • Provide first-line support in the Manager’s absence and assist with end-of-month reporting.
  • Drive process improvements and team training initiatives.
  • Support implementation of strategies for managing third-party platforms and new AR processes.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong leadership and team management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of AS400 system (preferred).
  • Previous experience in debtors/credit control (preferred).
