Job Duties

  • Coordinate the activities of the assigned work centers and take necessary action to assure performance goals are met. 
  • Organize and assign work, instruct, guide and assist employees in the safe performance of their work.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and training for employees in assigned work centers.
  • Anticipate, analyze, and diagnose production problems to coordinate corrective actions.
  • Maintain conformance with Company work rules and policies and deliver discipline when necessary.
  • Lead and/or support the implementation of improved manufacturing processes using Lean methodology and tools.
  • Approve weekly employee payroll hours and appraise performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2-4 years related experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, as well as basic computer skills. 
  • Per 8 or 10-hour shift. Sit up to 7 hours and stand up to 3 hours. Both typical and non-typical office environment (low to moderate noise level, low exposure to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, and vibrations). Lift up to 10 pounds. Physical and mental demands are akin to the majority of office positions with prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged use of a computer/keyboard. Infrequent lifting, walking, and climbing stairs. Occasional use of office equipment (copiers, printers, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Specialized courses or training in supervisory and administrative subjects is desired.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • Specialized courses or seminars in supervisory and administrative subjects. SAP knowledge.
