ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs brake systems, engines, electrical components, steering systems, transmissions, drive trains, and tires for
tractors, trailers, and refrigeration equipment
* Performs preventative maintenance services, including changing oil, checking fluids, inspecting batteries, testing lights, and lubricating
equipment
* Establishes and maintains positive working relationships
* Receives and carries out instructions
* Maintains regular and predictable attendance
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair
* Excellent mechanical repair skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues
* Ability to read service and repair manuals
* Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion
* Ability to read work orders
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program and actively pursuing a degree in accounting.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
* Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
* Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 100lbs.
* Must be able to inspect vehicle to determine repairs needed
* Good vision to inspect repair work
* Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver's license as required by supervisor
