Job Summary:
The Systems Engineer will provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise for seat actuation systems used in aircraft seating. This role involves collaborating with customers to ensure the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of seat actuation products.
Additionally, the Systems Engineer will perform engineering tasks such as researching, planning, designing, and developing products for the aerospace marketplace. Working within a collaborative Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment, the Systems Engineer will define system architectures, conduct integration testing, and perform detailed analyses to ensure product functionality, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: 3+ years of relevant work experience required. Fluency in English and German is required (Fluency in French is highly preferred).
Knowledge: Understand Systems Engineering principles, including interpreting and writing requirements, system architectures and designs. Knowledge of requirements management, validation and verification.
Skills/Abilities: Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Working knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS)
Must demonstrate proficiency with verbal and written English for technical reports, presentations, analyses, or other communications at the appropriate level.
Education/Certification: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent) from a four-year college or university.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading system development activities following industry recognized processes.
Ability to interact with customers, provide superior technical, cost effective and schedule efficient solutions to complex engineering issues.
Ability to lead systems team or cross functional engineering team on complex development programs.
Ability to create and present systems material at Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews.
Understanding and practical experience of DO-178C and DO-160.
Aerospace industry development experience.
