This exciting opportunity is part of the Druck business. The planned addition of the Druck brand to Crane Aerospace & Electronics meaningfully strengthens our pressure sensing capabilities across critical applications—including environmental control systems, hydraulics, and engine monitoring. Additionally, Druck expands our presence into ground-based test and calibration equipment, further extending our technological capabilities and market reach. The Director, IT is responsible for the overall leadership of information technology, tools, and processes for the business. The position ensures efficient selection, implementation, usage, and support of technology tools and processes throughout the organization. The Director, IT drives the strategic vision and roadmap for business IT and will also work closely with Crane’s global information security team, providing technical solutions that support progressing the overall business strategy. The Director, IT reports to the Business Unit VP, Finance and leads a team of service desk, infrastructure, and applications associates. This is a unique and high-impact opportunity to shape the future of a newly acquired business. As part of Crane’s acquisition of the PSI business from Baker Hughes, the IT Director will lead the creation of a standalone IT organization. With limited existing IT resources transitioning from Baker Hughes, this role is responsible for building the IT team from the ground up, designing the future-state architecture, and support the implementation of a new ERP system in parallel with the Transitional Services Agreement (TSA).The IT Director will serve as a strategic partner across the business, ensuring technology enables operational continuity, scalability, and long-term growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the implementation of a new SAP ERP instance, including system design, configuration, and deployment.

• Oversee application support, system administration and infrastructure of all locations. This includes Enterprise Resource Planning, Business Intelligence, Customer Relationship Management, and all IT operational components.

• Direct the continuous improvement of IT practices to maintain pace with technological progress, economic change, and business needs.

• Take a hands-on approach in system administration tasks, including network administration, server maintenance, user support and application maintenance and support.

• Ensure selection, implementation, use, and support of the most functionally effective and cost-effective tools and processes.

• Manage third party vendor relationships including upfront contract negotiations and on-going delivery of services to Panametrics’ standards.

• Provide guidance to executive leadership & influence the direction of the organization on matters where technology is an enabler.

• Formalize and drive adherence to Crane IT policies, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing, to safeguard company information resources and meet industry compliance standards.

• Lead upgrades of Microsoft Products (Outlook, Teams, etc.)

• Spearhead local technology efforts and partner with Crane’s Corporate Information Technology team in enterprise rollouts, security deployments, system and application patching etc.

• Lead local security efforts to mitigate risk; supporting directives from Crane’s Global Information Security team.

• Operate in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and commitment • Develop and maintain operating and capital budget.

• Oversee asset management and deployment of equipment including mobile devices, telecommunications, laptops, printers, etc.

• Coach and mentor the IT organization; role model effective communication, ethical decision-making, continuous-improvement mindset, and results-orientation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 15+ years of progressive Information Technology experience in a multi-location manufacturing organization, including at least 4 years in a people leadership role that required effective interaction with senior executives.

• Experience managing international data security requirements; European data protection and/or safe harbor.

• Proven experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software solutions through a structured lifecycle.

• Broad knowledge of, and deep experience with, applications, systems, networks, security, databases, servers, and storage systems.

• Advanced experience with a variety of ERP systems, SAP experience preferred. • Advanced experience with Salesforce including commercial and field service business processes.

• Experience leading key technology projects to successful and on-time completion.

• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.

• Strong knowledge of reporting tools and technologies (Data Lake, Tableau, Power BI, SQL).

• Ability to communicate effectively and influence at all levels of the organization. Service oriented, but assertive/persuasive.

• Results oriented with sound judgment when balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

• Flexible to travel as needed.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related discipline is required; MBA preferred. Technical certifications a plus (ITIL, CITM, CISM, PMP)
