Job Summary

Utilizes the nursing process to effectively assess the needs of patients, identify a plan of care, and implement and evaluate the care given. Provides direct and indirect care to patients and leads the patient care team toward goal achievement in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy. Leads employees to accomplish all job objectives; inspires confidence and motivation to enhance employee satisfaction.

 

Job Requirements

Education

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

 

Experience

• Preferred: At least five years of clinical experience, one year of charge nurse experience, and one year experience in the area of specialization

 

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
• Exhibits valuable time management skills
• Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment

 

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Required: RN license active in the state of Missouri
• Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days
• Required: Must obtain NRP within one year of hireEducation: ▪ Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing. Must obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within three years. ▪ Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Experience: ▪ Preferred: At least five years of clinical experience, one year of charge nurse experience, and one year experience in the area of specialization Skills: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrate effective leadership abilities • Exhibits valuable time management skills • Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills. • Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment Licensure/Certification/Registration ▪ Required: RN license active in the state of Missouri
