User Support Analyst Staff, IT Desktop Support

Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift

Position Summary: 

Under general supervision, provides support to end-users for PC, server, network, applications and hardware. Responsible for configuring, installing and supporting hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, provides support to end-users for PC, server, network, applications and hardware.
• Under general supervision, assists in the evaluation of business problems, evaluates and recommends vendor packages, and implements required software.
• Interacts with various levels of IT staff and others outside of IT to restore service and/or identify and correct problems.
• Works on moderately complex applications.
• Assists in the evaluation of new personnel end-user computing packages and equipment as well as in the implementation and testing of prototypes.
• Installs new hardware and maintains existing hardware.
• Consults with client area management and staff regarding PC and LAN systems and equipment problems or malfunctions and recommends solutions.
• Provides Assistance to fellow IT Groups.
• Local travel required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:          

None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to an Associate’s degree.  Preference may be given to individuals possessing an Associate’s degree in a directly-related field from an accredited college or university.

Minimum Experience:         

Minimum of three (3) years related experience. Experience working with LAN's/WAN's and working knowledge of required hardware and software.

Licensure Requirement:      

Employee must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license Class D and state mandated

                                                minimum insurance coverage.  Driving record must meet Covenant Health

                                                minimum standards at the date of hire and throughout employment tenure.
