*We are seeking a  Deputy District Contract Security Manager in the State of Hawaii, contingent upon contract award. 

 

Covenant Aviation Security has an opening for a Deputy District Contract Security Manager (DDCSM) located in the State of Hawaii.  Responsibilities will include managing armed staff, unarmed staff, and security operations. The DDCSM will also support the District Contract Security Manager (DCSM) and conduct investigations. This position will report to the District Security Manager.

 

Location:        Stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii or Maui, Hawaii

 

Essential Functions

  • Supports security operations through subordinate staff, who direct the security workforce. 
  • Ensure that all contract terms and conditions are met.
  • Ensure mission accomplishment and priorities; procedural policy and compliance; and technical competence. 
  • Plans and organizes the most efficient use of resources to meet these requirements through development and analysis of employee work schedules.
  • Oversees workforce efficiency through monitoring schedule assignments and available workforce.
  • Assessing employee performance; making selections and promotions. 
  • Responsibilities also include hearing and resolving complaints from employees; taking disciplinary action; identifying training and developmental needs; improving quality and service performance; developing and being accountable for goals and objectives. 
  • Assists in developing budgets; directing major program segments; approving awards and other personnel actions; and making decisions on work problems and recommendations.
  • Dealing directly with all levels of security management, Airport Authority, law enforcement, labor relations, Federal and State regulatory agencies, airline-contracted personnel, and local government officials.
  • Other related duties as assigned by Covenant Management. 

Minimum Qualifications                  

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or Lawful Permanent Resident.
  • Must be commissioned as a LEO, unless otherwise approved.
  • Must have at least two (2) years of experience as a supervisor at the middle-management level, in a certified law enforcement organization.
  • Must have or be able to obtain an American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), ACE- Security certification within twelve (12) months of hire.
  • Must always be accessible to the client through portable radio or other communication devices.
  • Ability to speak, read, write legibly, and understand English.
  • Must be neat, well-groomed, and present a professional appearance.

  • Dependable, flexible, amenable to work extended hours and varying shifts when necessary.
  • Advocate for Covenant’s customer-focused security and Client service initiatives.

Physical Demands               

  • May require standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods of time. 
  • Physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of performing all duties required for their assigned duties.
  • Be able to perform the duties of their position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

 

Work Environment   

Work may be performed inside or outside with variations of climate control and exposure to elements. Temperature fluctuations vary seasonally.
