Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and friendly Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee and customer service, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages (e.g., espresso, lattes, cappuccinos) in accordance with company recipes and quality standards.
- Prepare Sandwiches and other food items.
- Stock and organize retail items.
- Greet customers, take orders, and handle cash or card transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, equipment, and seating area.
- Restock supplies (e.g., coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups) as needed.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer needs and complaints in a professional manner.
- Educate customers on the menu, making recommendations based on their preferences.
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Open and/or close the café according to company procedures, if assigned.
- Prep and Cook Food Items
Qualifications:
- Prior barista or food service experience preferred, but not required (training provided).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, positive attitude with a customer-first mindset.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, and carry items during shift.
