About the Role:

Reporting to the Manager of Economic Development and Tourism, the Administrative Assistant Summer Student will play a key role in keeping our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, department website, and online business directory up to date, assisting with economic development initiatives, and provide front desk reception coverage.

The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in updating the CRM Platform and online business directory. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service to visitors. The successful incumbent will also provide back-up coverage at the Port Stanley Visitor Centre as needed. This role requires self-motivation, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently following the training period.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled or a recent graduate of a post-secondary business, marketing, tourism program or related field.
• Previous experience in administrative support or customer service roles.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• High level of comfort making phone calls and engaging with business representatives.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, databases, and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s license with a minimum class G2.
