About this role

What We Need

Corpay is currently looking to hire a QA Automation & DevOps Engineer within our Stored Value Solutions (SVS) division based in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you’ll be a hands-on Developer / QA Automation Engineer who is passionate about quality, reliability, and well-engineered delivery pipelines. This role blends software development, automated testing, CI/CD, and DevOps practices, with a strong emphasis on preventing defects early and shipping stable, repeatable releases. You’ll work across development, QA, and operations to design robust automation, strengthen testing strategies, and continuously improve how software is built, tested, and deployed. If you enjoy breaking systems before users do, automating everything you can, and making pipelines predictably reliable—this role is for you.

How We Work

As a QA Automation & DevOps Engineer, you will be expected to work in a virtual environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

  • Company-issued equipment + remote access
  • Formal, hands-on training

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Design, build, and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, regression, end-to-end)
  • Partner with developers to define test strategies early in the development lifecycle
  • Identify edge cases, failure modes, and system weaknesses before they reach production
  • Advocate for quality standards, test coverage, and automation best practices
  • Reduce manual testing through thoughtful, maintainable automation
  • Write clean, testable, production-grade code
  • Build test utilities, frameworks, and tooling to support QA efforts
  • Participate in code reviews with a focus on testability, reliability, and maintainability
  • Own and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab Ultimate
  • Integrate automated testing into build and deployment workflows
  • Manage build, test, and release automation
  • Implement best practices for version control, branching, and release management
  • Collaborate on deployment strategies and environment consistency
  • Support monitoring, logging, and alerting for production systems
  • Assist with troubleshooting production issues and root cause analysis
  • Continuously improve pipeline performance, stability, and feedback loops

Qualifications & Skills

  • 2-4 years of QA experience
  • Strong experience as a Software Developer or QA Automation Engineer with a quality-first mindset
  • Proven experience designing and maintaining automated test suites
  • Solid DevOps experience, especially CI/CD pipeline ownership
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Jenkins
  • GitLab (Ultimate preferred)
  • CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance
  • Familiarity with cloud or containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes a plus)
  • Comfortable working across development, QA, and operations teams

Nice to Have

  • Monitoring and observability tools (like Datadog)
  • Security-minded testing and pipeline hardening
  • Exposure to AI-driven tooling or intelligent automation

Ideal Candidate Traits

  • Genuinely enjoys QA and testing, not just bug fixing
  • Thinks critically about failure scenarios and system behavior
  • Strong automation mindset
  • Proactive, detail-oriented problem solver
  • Comfortable owning quality and delivery end-to-end
  • Curious about emerging tools and automation patterns

Benefits & Perks

  • Medical, Dental & Vision benefits available the 1st month after hire
  • Automatic enrollment into our 401k plan (subject to eligibility requirements)
  • Virtual fitness classes offered company-wide
  • Robust PTO offerings including: major holidays, vacation, sick, personal, & volunteer time
