Title: Coding Specialist (CPC Required) 

Location: Ballwin, MO (Hybrid) 

Reports to: Coding Manager 

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt  

Full-Time  

Salary Range: $22-$32 HR 

* Starting pay varies based on location and experience, in compliance with specific state wage regulations.  Competitive rates tailored to your geography and expertise.  

 

Position Overview: The Coding Specialist will support the medical coding operations for Anesthesia service and providers. This role will also be responsible for working closely with and supporting our global coding staff to ensure all duties are performed accurately and proficiently. 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • AssignaccurateCPT, ICD10 and modifiers on patient charts
  • Audit codingforanesthesiacodes
  • Provideaccurateanswers to queries on coding
  • Supporttheglobal coding team with auditing, training, anddevelopment and maintenance ofSOPs
  • Day-to-day activity to ensure that coding procedures are up to date and aligned to current needs of the client
  • Proficiencyacrossanesthesia and pain management coding
  • A sound knowledge of medical coding guidelines and regulations including compliance and reimbursement 
  • Knowledge of medical terminologynecessaryto correctly assign diagnosis andprocedures
  • Other duties as assigned by theCoding Manager

Requirements/Qualifications:  

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 2yearscodingexperiencerequired
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC)required
  • Preferred experience in Anesthesia coding with Certified Anesthesia and Pain Management (CANPC) certification
