About this role

$17.50 / per Hour

CoreCivic is currently seeking Certified Nursing Assistants who have a passion for providing the highest quality care in an institutional setting. The Certified Nursing Assistant performs and assists with a variety of basic patient care activities under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements

  1. Obtain, monitor, record and report vital signs and patient's condition as needed.
  2. Prepare patients for physical exams, procedures, and treatments.
  3. Assist nurses/ physician with physical exams, procedures, and treatments.
  4. Assist nurse with control and inventory of sharps, medical supplies, and equipment as required by established policies.
  5. Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent or greater.
  • Must possess a current certification from an approved formal nursing assistant program with written consent and be CPR certified, or eligible for CPR certification.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
