About this role
Position Summary:
Delivers professional and technical nursing care to patients presenting to Specialty Aras. Nursing care delivered complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital. Adheres to the monitoring of and compliance with all licensing and regulatory agency guidelines including but not limited to JC, ACHA, OSHA, CMS, DCF, etc. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation when delivering nursing care. Prepares equipment and assists physician during treatments and examinations of patients. Assists in planning, supervising and instructing Licensed Practical Nurses, and patient Care Assistants. May take charge relief assignments occasionally. The professional nurse must possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a stressful fast paced environment is essential.
Qualifications/Requirements
Required licensures/certifications
Current Florida Nursing License
Current BLS Certification
Current ACLS Certification
Skills and Abilities
Demonstrates knowledge of physiological, psychological and therapeutic components specific to the critically ill patient
Experience
Must possess at least (1) of the following requirements:
- a) One year of RN critical care experience or internship validated by certificate.
- b) Adult Critical Care
- c) Three years RN Telemetry experience with documented EKG competency
- d) CCRN certification (or related certification such as CPAN)
