About this role
Position Summary:
Perform venous puncture, skin punctures (for bleeding time only), finger sticks for in-patients and out-patients. Perform clerical duties as assigned. Process specimens and delivers to different sections of the laboratory. Perform messenger duties of specimens.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Required licensures/certifications
Phlebotomy Certification a must.
Phlebotomy Registry preferred.
Current BLS Certification
Skills and Abilities
Ability to perform venous punctures, skin punctures, and finger sticks.
Ability to work with computers.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience
Minimum 1 year experience as a phlebotomist in a physician office or hospital setting preferred.
