Job Description

Generic job description:

 

Coordination of project activities among Project Engineers for NPD projects, including new product, introduction, serves as an escalation between the plant and divisional engineering.                                                                           

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

      The main responsibility is to Plan, Schedule and supervises projects according to available Plant Capacities distribute work among Project engineers and negotiate staffing with Departamental Managers to support NPIs, while ensure that activities related to new product launch projects on time.

      Performs liaison activities between the plant and divisional engineering, looking for plant high performance with different STL and China sites, to provide solutions to the specific needs of the different departments for the correct development of the project.

     Coordinates the acquisition of new machines and technology needed for new part numbers, and the technology roadmap. Develops innovative processes related and delivers an engineering package to operations for manufacturing new parts.

      Comply with procedures and/or documentation guidelines during the development of projects.

•      Comply with the security standards and policies established by the company.

 

  • Coordination of workloads on NPI groups

  • Direct communication between divisional engineering and plant.

  • Analysis of Engineering Changes for effective implementation in NBO's / NPI's.

  • Product Launch Review Board.

  • Management and Capitalization of Accounts for New Products.

  • Quotes for New Products.

  • Development of manufacturing tooling with local suppliers. Technical support for the launch of new products.

 

 

Basic requirements:

• Completed degree in engineering, more 4 year of experience in a similar position.

• Knowledge on manufacturing processes in electronics industry, SMT, Wave and Selective soldering and tooling associated for manufacturing on those processes

• Knowledge of POKE YOKE, KAN BAN, SMED, FMEAS, GR&R, SIX SIGMA, 5's, 8D's.

• Knowledge of: ISO 9000

• Knowledge of ESD

• Bilingual English-Spanish 90%

• Problem solving using analysis techniques.

• Ability to decision making

• Leadership and proper management of resources
